Sem break,

Just realized that my last blog post was last year. Which means that I haven't blogged for over 6 months, I know, I'm not an efficient blogger, and a fairly lazy one I might add. Okay, so here's an update.

I'm back in my hometown as of right now, and seriously HAPPY bout it. I feel like I haven't been back here for ages (though it's only been 3 months).

Am back here only for a month or so, how I wish sem breaks would be longer. How is it fair that one semester lasts for 3 months but the sem break after that is only a month long?

Anyways, since it's so short, might as well enjoy each day as much as I can.

Life back in my hometown mostly revolves around 5 things : gym, TV, X-box, guitar, FOOD.

Okay, clearly, I'll have to emphasize on the last one seeing as to how much I love food (like everyone else).

Went out for breakfast this morning with le parents at a coffee shop near my place. And guess what I ordered? KOLO MEE!

Been craving for it almost every week when I was in KL.

For those of you who doesn't know what "Kolo Mee" is, it's a yummy bowl of local noodles found originally in Sarawak. AND, I repeat, it's NOT wanton mee. They're 2 freaking different things!

Ta-da! Le yummy bowl of kolo mee.

Okay, back to the other 4 things. X-box. Hmm, long story short, my dad bought me an X-box 360 after I completed high school and I've become a gamer addict ever since. Okay, maybe not an addict, but yes, I can spend hours in front of the X-box playing Left for Dead 2 with my sister.

So since I obviously didn't bring my X-box with me over to KL, cause it'll clearly be a distraction, I can only sink into my gamer girl mode when I'm back here.

Moving on, gym.
Another long story short, after I completed my A levels, there was no longer a need for the study room so my dad gladly converted it into a mini gym. So now, I can literally head to the gym, without actually, leaving the house. Ha-ha.

And since I'm eating so much when I'm back here, with my mom constantly feeding me with all her home cooked food, I'll have to at least work out if I want to avoid gaining 1023234230 pounds when I get back to KL.

So, since I've been back here, I've been working out daily for at least an hour.

Le mini gym at home.
(Not much, but it's enough for me!)

2 days ago, I was rampaging through some of the stuff that I had laying around in my room and found my guitar. Without much thought I took it out of it's dusty bag, went online to search for some chords, and started playing it again, after, hmm, I can't even remember when was the last time I played the guitar.

And heck, my fingers HURT LIKE HELL after that. Result of not playing for so long. Hmm. 活该?

Last but not least, there's TV! Since I've no Astro on that crappy TV back in my condo in KL, TV back here is like heaven. I can sit in front of the TV all day long watching TV shows like Bones, Castle, The Voice, etc etc. Hmm, 'nuff said.

Okay, time to end my blog post, been yapping too much already. Time to get back to my TV. (Couch potato mode ON)

*Peace out guys*

Study Break - Day #1

So, I finally get 2 weeks worth of holidays and they're not even really holidays cox it's actually a 2-week study break. BUMMER.

Well, today's officially the first day of my study break and guess what, I DIDN'T GET ANY STUDYING DONE AT ALL. Surprise surprise.

Anyways, since I have some spare time up my sleeves I'll just briefly blog about a bunch of boring stuffs I did today since I haven't updated my blog in ages and it's kinda dead already, so yeah, I shall not let it die!!

So, I woke up at 8 this morning. YES. E-I-G-H-T sharp. Bet you guys are wondering why the heck would someone wake up THAT early on the first day of school break. Well, I had to get my lab report done and hand it in today before 5 pm and since I was planning to head out, I had no other choice. Hence, I had to sacrifice my beauty sleep.

Again, another bummer.

I finished the report bout an hour later and ended up spending my time checking out new songs online since, well, with all the school work and exams and everything, I officially feel like a caveman now who knows no new songs. Damn it.

As usual, I lost track of time and ended up getting ready later than planned. After I got everything done, dolled up and stuff, I met up with egg ( in case you guys are wondering, egg, isn't an actual egg, she's actually a really good friend of mine, so yeah, clarified!) and headed to mid valley with my sister.

The three of us girls were starving like crazy so we headed to Paddington's House of Pancakes for our scrumptious lunch!

Fruit punch for all three of us!

My grilled dory fish with pancakes, mashed potatoes and cream sauce. Yums!

Egg's dish. Couldn't remember what it's called actually.

My sister Jane's dish. Again, can't recall what it's called.
But I know that it's damn huge!

 Time to dig in!

Some selcas taken while waiting for our meals!

With egg!

With Jane!

Solo!

After lunch and feeling like we've just eaten an entire elephant, we headed over to The Gardens Mall and ended up having karaoke session at Redbox.

There was buffet so we just randomly (actually my sister Jane took most of the food for us) grab small portions of food since we were still feeling stuffed from all the pancakes.

Noticed how everyone seems to be aiming for the curry fish balls?

We sang so many songs (and felt awesome while singing them too, haha!), from english songs to chinese ones then back to english ones again.

Our session was supposed to last till 8 pm but we were too exhausted and our vocal chords were too strained to last that long so we left after 6.

On the way back to mid valley, my sister got attracted by the Christmas deco so she whipped out her phone to take a couple of shots.

Meanwhile...

Okay, it looks like a lump of white stuff but still, I had to take a picture of it since egg and Jane was doing so.

And before heading home, GROUP SHOT !!!

Oh yeah, almost forgot to blog about our trip to MPH bookstores before heading back home. Yes! We went book hunting!

I bought "The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer" by Michelle Hodkin.

Haven't sunk my teeth into horror books in a while. I'm definitely excited to start on it! Yes, guilty of being a nerd i am!

Anyways, guess that's all for now. Kinda exhausted from surviving on 4 hours of sleep for 3-4 days in a row. Time to get some beauty sleep! Night guys!

Up, Up, and Away.

Okay, am gonna blog about my trip to Genting last week with my family.

Just gonna post up whatever bit i can remember about it.

So after class last Friday evening, I rushed home, gathered my bags and headed over to Kl Sentral to meet up with my parents.
By the time I got there, it was 6-ish, but they hadn't arrived yet so I went to McD for dinner, ALONE. *Forever alone* :(

It was SO packed I was even lucky to get a table after I got my food.
Sat down, and waited for my sister to come over from work.

Oh yeah, I remember ordering the McNuggets meal that day and somehow the nuggets looked so golden that day. LOL WTH. Wonder if it was just me being too hungry?

After I was almost done with my meal, my sister came and grabbed some food too. I had to wait for her to finish eating, meanwhile, i took a few selcas.

 The grumpy face.

Who says I don't smile in pictures?

And yes, i noticed some people from the other tables staring at me while i was taking self shots. They must be wondering how vain a person i am. LOL Can't help it!

After what seemed like forever, my parents finally arrived and we took a cab straight up to Genting, (my dad knew the cabbie).

By the time we arrived in Genting, it was almost 10 at night. My sis and I waited for my parents to check in.

Yet again, there was nothing else to do so Selca time!

Reached Genting finally. *Happy kid*

Weird expression.

And YET AGAIN, i caught 2 aunties from the next rows of chairs staring at me and my sister while we were taking pictures. Haha. Is it really that weird for young people to take self shots of themselves?

After mom and dad had checked us in, we dropped our bags off in the hotel room, freshen up and headed out again. My parents headed straight for the casinos while my sister and I headed to Starbucks, since most of the shops were already closed by then.

We decided to go for the Starbucks at Highlands Hotel, since that one was less crowded. True enough, there weren't many tables taken. We sat at a corner table, which conveniently had 2 power switches, time to charge our gadgets!!

As usual, I ordered Chocolate Cream Chip with whip cream since I can't touch coffee and my sister got herself a hot signature chocolate.

Biscotti, Signature hot Chocolate & Chocolate cream chip.

Sister pretending to munch on her biscotti.

Looking a little tired here. Taken by my sister.

While we were chilling, my friend told me he was coming up to Genting, which was kinda surprising but i was happy.

A minute later, my sister told me her friend was coming up to Genting to accompany her too.

TOO hilarious. LOL

After both our friends came, we headed to McD for supper, (my sister's crazy idea!)

I didn't wanted to have anything at first, for obvious reasons (I didn't wanted to gain ANYMORE weight!)

But then being the persuasive person that she is, my sister manged to persuade me to get ice cream.

We chatted about all kinds of weird, funny things and I laughed a lot.

It was getting late and we had to make sure we reached the hotel room before my parents came back so we called it a night.

I woke up pretty early the next morning, which was a Saturday morning. Like who wakes up at 8-ish on Saturdays anyways?

So yeah, we had breakfast with my parents at the Hainanese restaurant. It was pretty packed that morning but thankfully we didn't have to wait long for our table cause i was STARVING!

I was looking forward to have their scrambled eggs stuffed with cheese since i tried that the last time i came and it was REALLY GOOD but sadly, they no longer had that dish in their menu so i had to order something else.

I ended up having the same thing as my sister, flavored bacon toast coated with egg and fries.

Flavored bacon toast coated with egg and fries

Iced lemon tea for me as usual.
Daddy's breakfast: Soft boiled eggs, paos, and coffee.

Sister advertising her food.

And this is me, about to dig into my food.

It was pretty good, I kinda like the way they did the toast.

After breakfast, we split up from our parents again. They headed for the casinos while this time we headed to the outdoor theme park.

The queue for the tickets was pretty long, but we got our tickets in the end.

It wasn't very cold that day but a tad chilly.

We headed for the Spinner the first thing we got into the theme park! (Still one of my favorite rides)

After that we went into the chocolate house and we bought some chocolates, being the chocolate lover that we are. As usual i grabbed all of the dark, bitter chocolates i could see. I couldn't remember what my sister bought now.

After that we continued going on the other rides, can't remember which we sat already.

The sad thing was it wasn't peak season so most of the popular rides were closed for maintenance, like the Cyclone, the Corkscrew, the Rolling Thunder Mine Train, etc.

I wanted to go for the Flume Ride but then my sister didn't wanted to get wet so we skipped that idea.

All in all, we had a pretty great time out in the theme park that day.

That night, we wanted to go cheong K (karaoke session) but our plan got cancelled. Cause the karaoke place was closed for renovation as well, Bummer!

Change of plans. So we decided to go to the pizza place in hops of grabbing some pizza and beers.

YET AGAIN, our plans got cancelled. Guess what? The pizza placed closed down and was no longer there. It was replaced by a restaurant called Bubbles & Bites.

The setting looked really cool plus they had all kinds of liquors (not that I'm an alcoholic or anything) and fancy dishes so we decided to have a go.

The waitresses there were all really friendly and the setting of the entire place was just perfect if you're looking for some place to chill with friends.

My sister and I decided to have a pizza and we each picked out our own liquor, I got the Apple Hooch and my sister got the Strawberry Storm.

 The menu.
Bubbly wines. Time to pop some bottles?

Our yummeh pizza!

Our booze came chilled in a cute plastic ice bag!

Me, taking a sip of my drink.

Candid shot?

It's safe to say that we enjoyed our meal and had a great time there so the next time if you're up in Genting and just want to find a nice hang out place to chill with your friends over some food and liquor, you can try out Bubbles and Bites. It's located near the Good Friends Restaurant.

After dinner, we headed over to First World Plaza and walked around a little. Bought some stuff along the way though there really wasn't much to shop for.

I was up in Genting till Sunday but then if I were to blog about what we did on that day too, this blog post will end up being really, REALLY long anf then you guys would end up falling asleep.

So I'm just gonna end it here. Will blog about my shopping haul for the past couple of days with my family during the next blog post so stay tuned! :)

TGIF !

Okay, I know I haven't had the time to blog since I started my new sem but I finally have some time to spare right now so I'll just do a quick update.

It's Friday (TGIF btw guys!) and my parents and flying over here tonight! Best news I've had in ages. Plus I miss them so damn much.

As usual, my dad, being the casino fan that he is, they plan to head up to Genting for the weekends. So my sister and I will be following them up tonight. Truth is, I'd love nothing more than to get a few hours of beauty sleep this weekend since I haven't had much time for any since school started (plus also due to all those late night yumcha sessions, LOL).

But then again, I SERIOUSLY need a break from school so I guess I can't deny that I'm quite happy with my parents' plan.

The downside? I'm not 21 yet (not even 20, but soon!) so I can't gamble or even enter the casinos, not that, gambling, is good. *Cough cough*

Plan B? Theme park. Guess it'll be good too to scream out all the stress from school on the coasters.

Anyways, I woke up super early this morning, I had no idea why since I'm seriously lacking sleep, so I got up and packed some clothes and other stuff for this weekend.

No idea what to pack, since I got kinda bored with most of the clothes I currently have in my closet, which brings me to an idea: GOTTA GO SHOPPING THIS WEEKEND!

What's more, with my parents in town, I don't even need to worry bout spending. LOL. I know I sound like a spoiled brat right now but it's true.

Okay, I guess I don't know what else to say right now so I'll just stop here. Will update about my Genting trip with the family this weekend soon! That is, if I can find the time to, since classes are pretty packed next week. Hope I'll survive!

Selca with a wink.Not a fail I hope. lol.

Hope you guys have a great weekend ahead and enjoy your Friday night! ;)
